The purpose of Compassion Community Outreach is to promote self-sufficiency by providing social, mental, and spiritual services through the development of community centers for recovery programs and educational partnerships.
Compassion Community Outreach is run solely on a volunteer basis and much of our donations go directly to the work of our programs.
FOOD BANK
We believe no one should go hungry and our food bank was established to help those in need. We work with Feeding America to assist over 100+ individuals each month with food. We are open on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm & 3rd Wednesday of the month from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm (excluding holidays) emergencies.
We strive to ensure that all children have the tools necessary for a successful school year. Over 4,000 kids have been ready on the first day of school with free backpacks and school supplies since 2005! This outreach is held in August and we work with our local school districts, social services, and businesses.
We know that Thanksgiving time can be a difficult time of the year for many families. Our goal is to assist those in need. This program allows for families and/or businesses to adopt-a-family to provide a food box with the basic fixing for a Thanksgiving feast.
